All Clinical Trial Ambassadors named on this website agree to and act according the following guidelines.
Explain the role of CT-Ambassador and the Dos & DONTs.
Build awareness for clinical research.
Offer support to patients by explaining clinical research (facts, rights, explanation of terms, Clinical Research Versus Medical Treatment, Informed Consent for Clinical Trials).
Explain clinical trials (goal, design, endpoints etc.) in an understandable way.
Explain technical terms used in clinical trials in an understandable way.
If a patient is interested to participate in clinical trials, provide specific information and help to find fact based evaluated information. (www.clinicaltrials.gov)
Help the patient to filter out the possible clinical trials (per disease, geography, age etc.) upon request.
Help the patient to find the contact person/investigator at the research center upon request.
All documentation concerning conversation with patients about clinical trials has to be stored safely.
They do not try to persuade a patient to participate in a clinical trial.
They do not recommend or endorse any specific clinical trial.
They do not use trade names of pharmaceuticals. Only use substance names. Do not favor any substance.
